This Privacy Policy explains how Quest Smith ("Quest Smith", "we", "our", or "us") collects, uses, shares, stores, and protects information when you access or use our mobile application, web application, websites, accounts, AI-powered storytelling tools, game features, subscriptions, communications, and related services (collectively, the "Services").
Scope of This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy applies to information we process when you use Quest Smith through our web and mobile platforms. It also applies when you create an account, play or create AI-generated stories, interact with multiplayer or community features, purchase or manage subscriptions, contact support, receive notifications, or otherwise communicate with us.
This Privacy Policy does not apply to third-party websites, app stores, payment processors, AI model providers, analytics providers, advertising networks, or other services that we do not own or control. Their own privacy policies govern their processing of information.

2.1 Account and Profile Information
When you create or manage an account, we may collect information such as your name, username, display name, email address, password or authentication credentials, profile image or avatar, preferences, subscription status, age-related confirmations, and other account settings
2.2 Gameplay, Story, and Creative Content
Quest Smith is an AI-powered interactive storytelling game. When you use the Services, we may collect and process content you provide or generate, including prompts, player actions, story text, character names, character sheets, worlds, scenarios, quests, inventory, saved games, chat messages, multiplayer interactions, comments, feedback, reports, and AI-generated outputs.
2.3 AI Interaction Data
We may process your inputs, outputs, gameplay context, system interactions, moderation signals, safety classifications, and technical metadata to operate the AI storytelling experience, maintain continuity, improve quality, prevent abuse, and enforce our policies. Depending on the AI providers used to power Quest Smith, selected inputs and outputs may be sent to third-party AI infrastructure providers for processing.
2.4 Payment and Subscription Information
If you purchase a subscription, digital item, credit package, or other paid feature, we may receive limited transaction information such as product purchased, subscription tier, purchase date, renewal status, cancellation status, invoice identifiers, app store purchase status, and billing country. Payment card numbers and full payment credentials are generally processed by third-party payment processors or app stores and are not stored directly by us.
2.5 Device, Usage, and Technical Information
We may automatically collect technical information when you use the Services, including IP address, device identifiers, device type, operating system, browser type, app version, language settings, referring pages, session information, crash reports, performance data, approximate location derived from IP address, access times, pages viewed, buttons clicked, game events, and other usage analytics.
2.6 Communications and Support Information
If you contact us by email, support form, social media, community channel, or in-app report, we may collect your contact details, message content, attachments, support history, and any other information needed to respond to your request.
2.7 Information from Third Parties
We may receive information from third-party services when you log in through a third-party account, purchase through an app store, use social/community features, respond to marketing campaigns, or interact with external platforms that integrate with Quest Smith. The information we receive depends on your settings and the third party’s policies.

4. AI Processing and Model Improvement
Quest Smith relies on AI systems to create interactive stories and gameplay responses. To make the Services work, we may send relevant gameplay information, prompts, previous story context, character details, world rules, and user actions to AI systems or service providers that generate, classify, moderate, summarize, or validate content.
We may use user interactions, feedback, safety reports, prompts, outputs, and technical information to evaluate and improve the Services, including AI quality, moderation, personalization, memory systems, game balance, and abuse prevention. Where required by law or platform rules, we will provide choices or controls about certain uses of data for model improvement.
AI-generated content may not be unique, may be similar to outputs generated for other users, and may be processed by automated systems for safety, quality, and service operation purposes.

You can usually opt out of promotional emails through the unsubscribe link in the email. You can manage push notifications through your device settings or in-app settings. Some administrative or security messages may still be sent even if you opt out of promotional communications.
10. Payments and App Stores
Payments may be processed by third-party payment processors or app stores. These third parties may collect payment details, billing information, tax information, transaction identifiers, purchase history, fraud signals, and other information necessary to process your transaction. Their privacy policies and terms apply to their processing.
For mobile purchases, subscription management and refunds may be handled by Apple App Store or Google Play according to their policies. Quest Smith may receive limited purchase and subscription information needed to unlock features, verify purchases, provide support, and maintain account records.

We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the Services, maintain your account, preserve gameplay and story progress, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, protect safety, prevent abuse, and maintain business records.
Retention periods vary depending on the type of data and the reason it is processed. For example, account information may be kept while your account is active; transaction records may be kept for tax, accounting, and legal purposes; support communications may be kept resolving issues; and safety or abuse records may be kept protecting users and the Services.
When information is no longer needed, we may delete it, anonymize it, aggregate it, or securely retain it where deletion is not immediately possible due to backups, legal requirements, technical limitations, or legitimate business needs.
12. Your Privacy Choices and Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, export, restrict, object to, or withdraw consent for certain processing of your personal information. You may also have the right to appeal a decision or lodge a complaint with a privacy authority.

Quest Smith is not intended for children under 13 years old. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13 without legally valid consent, we will take reasonable steps to delete it.
