Why isn't the AI generating anything?

Sometimes the AI will not generate a response after you input an action. This usually happens if the AI accidentally attempts to generate an internal command like a player action indicator or an end of text token.

If you encounter an empty response, you can try the following steps to get your adventure moving again:

• Retry or Undo: Use the retry option to force the AI to try generating the response again, or use undo to change your last input slightly.
• Take a turn: You can manually type in a short result to steer the story past the block, giving the AI fresh context to work with.

Adjust Your Settings

Check your generation settings in your profile. If your configuration values like randomness, creativity, or token length limits are set too high or too low, the AI might generate unreadable code or symbols. Try a Different AI Model

If the issue persists across multiple actions, try switching to a different AI model in your adventure settings. Individual models can occasionally experience high server loads, routine maintenance, or temporary malfunctions.
