What kind of information does the AI gather?
Privacy & Security
In short, models on Questsmith will almost never gather your information.
Questsmith’s AI learns and generates text using a two step process: Base Training (how it learns language and world knowledge) and In Game Context (how it adapts to your specific story).
Here is exactly how it works:
1. Foundation Training
Before the AI ever arrives at Questsmith, it undergoes a massive training phase using public data from the internet. It analyzes billions of sentences from:
- Published books and literature
- Articles and encyclopedias
- Movie scripts, mythology, and public stories
From this, the AI doesn't just memorize facts; it learns grammar, writing styles, human emotions, and how to predict the next logical word in a sentence.
2. The Time Stamp Limit
The AI’s core knowledge is locked at the moment its training concludes. It does not browse the live internet while you play. For example, if a specific AI model was finalized in 2024, it won't inherently know about real world news, movies, or events that happened in 2025 or 2026.
3. In Game Adaptation
While you are actively playing an adventure, the AI temporarily gathers data from your inputs, your Story Cards, and your Memory tab.
- This data is used only to keep your current story consistent so the AI can mimic your writing tone and remember your characters.
- This data is completely isolated. Once you switch to a different adventure, the AI completely forgets the previous story's details.
